03- Rarity

My secret surprise project was Rarity! She was a Christmas gift for my favorite pegasister, because she is the Rarity to my Pinkie Pie and the Nana to my Hachi. Rarity is about an 8x10 inch just like Big Macintosh was, and I can safely say I won't be doing works this big again for a while. It's too time intensive. It is difficult to tell in the picture, but I actually used a light blue grid so the tinge of gray in the thread I used for her body would show up a little more.

Procrastination

It's so hard to make myself put my stitching needle down and study.

I have one of my two Japanese final tomorrow night at 7 (yes you're reading that right) and I need to at least review some particles and keigo. I shouldn't have started on my current project until finals were over, I know, but it's as big as Big Macintosh and I want to make sure it's done before I leave Austin for Pearland (my hometown) to be with my family for the holidays.

I know my fellow brony is going to love it! But since it's a surprise, no photos until after I give it to them.

Cloud Watching

Regular classes are over for the semester at uni, and I only have two finals to study for! It feels like a huge weight has been lifted from off my shoulders. And yet, part of me is still expected to be loaded down with school work. Knowing me I won't get used to the free time until the Spring semester begins.

It's cloudy and rainy outside, so between that and how hectic my week has been I'm taking this weekend to watch my favorite movies and play some video games. I started Animal Crossing: Wild World over again (I hadn't touched it in years) and I'm playing Final Fantasy 3 (DS) for the very first time! It's all sorts of exciting.

I'll also be starting on some new crafts soon, so be on the lookout! My winter break will be a busy one, but in a good way. The kind I like.

02- Spike

Cross-stitch of Spike from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. He fits in a 5”x7” frame and only took 3 days because I had a lot of free time on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. While everyone was passed out in their food comas I was stitching a baby dragon.

Acquire Ponies

Disregard homework and head cold, acquire ponies. I told myself I wasn’t going to get any of the figures since they’re not very show accurate, but Target had them on sale (especially my Cupcake, because her hair was so bad) so I couldn’t resist. They’re a good pick-me-up.

01- Big Macintosh

My first cross-stitch in years is my favorite character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Big Macintosh! That frame is an 8”x10”, for size reference. He took about 2.5 weeks to do so I won’t be doing many works of this size.
